Our quote of the month: "We’ve gone through this game using the Swordsman class. As gay as it sounds, this particular class can gracefully wield two one-handed swords, keeping enemies at bay with powerful slashes and thrust attacks that are quick and rather deadly."

From our Dark Souls 2 review

Anyway, thanks to one of our readers (KraGeRzR) for bringing this to our attention. Never would've noticed it myself, even though I did actually write it.

He's right. But you didn't realize it and now you're patting yourself on the back? That's gay as hell man.
Vader [STAFF] Mar 21 2014, 07:19 am EDT
How dare you mock my self-gayness!? Besides everything is allowed here. That's why it's... here.
Reikhardt Mar 21 2014, 07:41 am EDT

I, for one, applaud your gayness. And in relation to that quote, it's one of the reasons I frequent this site. I despise the kind of self-worthy white knight pussies that inhabit the likes of RPS. They need to get a sense of humour for starters.

my quote of the weeks comes from a small talk at work.
"to be honest, i'm not a real funny guy. not a real cynic as well. i'm only smarter than everyone else, cause i point out and mention everything that's wrong and stupid around me. you think it's funny cause you're plain stupid"
i was having an argument with a colleague who had the nerve to tell me my cynic view of life is stupid.
she was offended. i told her that's just another proof of how stupid you are, choosing to get offended like that"

You had me curios until you wrote the word "she".

Don't bother discussing philosophy with women. Actually, with most women, don't bother to discuss anything serious. They are only naturally gifted into sucking dick.

And don't even say that they belong in the kitchen. A lot of them can't even fucking cook.
Un Om Bun [STAFF] Mar 21 2014, 11:29 am EDT
You guys need to act more tolerant. This is a respectable website.
im_stardust Mar 21 2014, 11:34 am EDT
Hey, I was tolerant! You should see me when I'm not.
Un Om Bun [STAFF] Mar 21 2014, 11:35 am EDT
I'm just saying. We gotta keep up appearances and shit.
Breedy_Mcfluff Mar 21 2014, 11:49 am EDT
Today we've learned Stardust is terribly more sexist than we originally thought (which was still plenty, we assumed). Congratz.
im_stardust Mar 21 2014, 11:51 am EDT
You didn't learn shit. I'm not sexist. I hate everybody equally.
Whisky Mar 21 2014, 12:42 pm EDT
I don't hate everyone... mostly just people from India. And Stardust.
Un Om Bun: I hate women because they affect me in ways.

I had quite a few deep and meaningful conversations with women, infact, some of my best friends are of the opposite sex to mine.
and they're all extremely talented in wrapping birthday boxes.
I never learned how to do that right.
I don't understand this shout of hatred.
without women, who will I have sex with?
prove to me how that is not by itself, the whole reason why not to hate women.

Deep and meaningful conversations with women? Jesus fucking Christ dude ! are you freshly married or something? or are you like ..a teenager ?

But I did like how you tried to keep it steady and then you caved in at the end, with "without women, who will I have sex with"? That is actually your main argument.
Reikhardt Mar 21 2014, 05:07 pm EDT
I just want to copy this whole page and post it on RPS now.

actually, while you don't have to believe me,
but i'm single, 28 years old and loving my life, trying to have
a moderate amount of sex, drugs, live gigs and gaming when i feel like it and i'm alone at home.

and of course the sex part was my main argument, i did
accentuate by writing "prove to me how that is not by itself, the whole reason why not to hate women"
Cheddar: You sound like such a tool.
RenegadeCZ Mar 22 2014, 02:47 am EDT
It's cool and all that we can freely hate on women together, but what stardust said is just bafflingly ignorant. Stardust you need a powerful girl to show your bitch ass its place in life.
Un Om Bun: I should be so lucky...
Reikhardt: I'd buy that for a dollar.
im_stardust: I pity the fool.
RenegadeCZ: Save your pity and your mercy, I have no use for it!

it's not hate, it's disappointment.

last night after a university conference at which i presented a paper on Theatricality in Legacy of Kain, a beautiful, smart girl gave me a little piece of advice: "you're cute, but video games will damage your mind and your soul".

i rest my case.

Someone who has been reading my crap for a while and with a little bit of brain, could tell that I was exaggerating on purpose, to watch reactions and see how anyone else stand on this.

While I had my share of problems with women (mostly because I'n the past I choose to be honest, fair and naive) and I did not share any values and ideas with most of the ones I've met and the ones I did share some with and liked, I lost them to other guys, I cannot call it hate, but as Vodoo pointed out, just disappointment.

What I did wrote above; if you don't get married like a dolt at the age of 20, and you test the waters a little bit, and you're a bit of a complicated person and not severely average, you'll soon found out that finding someone that's GOOD for you, can get a little bit tricky. And even if you do find somebody, chances are you're gonna fuck it up.
So I was mostly honest and there's more than half truth from what I wrote.

Even the cooking bit had a lot of truth in it. Do you know how many women like or enjoy to cook? Or how many do it well. I know it's funny, but a cooked meal that's actually good, can go a long way in a relationship. It's how we're wired, I guess. It's more of a test of love, attention and care.

Same with sex. It's not only about how good she can blow you, but it's the way she touches you, the way she looks at you, etc...and this usually comes from someone that's also smart; you'd be surprised that a lot of women don't know how to do any of this right or at all.

Marriage on many cases is even worse. And it's a totally different subject. (well, not totally)

Vodoo: you need to visit again so we can bitch about shit to…
im_stardust: I could.

Women are usually thought that appearances are crucial and how you look or act is very important in life. They are bombarded with it from a very young age, which is why most of them put on a mask or an act the moment they leave the house or get out of bed. This is also a reason why they are so susceptible to trends and social currents which tell them how to behave in order to be successful, healthy, sexy, etc. They need constant guidance from external sources, such as books, movies, magazines and their mothers to tell them what life is all about so they can blend in and not be marginalized by the society.

Suffice to say, thinking for yourself and what you truly want is near impossible in such controlled environment, especially if those things stand out from the pattern. Only those that can get passed the fear of someone criticizing them will be able to form radical opinions and a genuine sense of humor.

Oh look, internet omega-males whining about women.

I wish some of you realized how painfully, painfully stereotypical you are.

But then, if you did, it would mean you have more capacity for objective self-examination than you do, and thusly you probably wouldn't be such oblivious omega-males in the first place.

Tell me, how many of you sport neck-beards? Let's test another stereotype while we're at it.
Vader [STAFF] Mar 24 2014, 05:02 am EDT
So are you the alpha then? Or are you one of us pathetic, average whining omegas then?

And I think those who have the capacity for objective self-examination are not human. They're some sort of android.
