I think it's really time for a new voting poll. So instead of babbling on about industry trends and random triple-A games, I thought it's about time to ask a rather simple, though rather important question: who the fuck still uses video game cheats? Seriously. I haven't used an actual cheat for a game in ages. The last game that made me even think about cheating was Dark Souls 2. Even then, all I did was go on YT and look for tips about defeating an annoyingly difficult boss. Actually, make that three bosses, which you have to take on at the same fucking time... Damn you, From Software!!!! That was a tough and yet a deliciously fun experience. I'm a masochist by nature, I guess.

Anyway, on to new and fresh games. Let's see what's on the agenda. Hm, I thought we'd have no games at all, when, lo and behold two titles are here: Valiant Hearts and Divinity: Original Sin (that one's just for you, Un). Keri and I are gonna start playing those ASAP, so we should have reviews for you guys soon.

Cheers and thanks for sticking to this sticky and dark part of the Internet.

Last cheated on Serious Sam if iI remember correctly, as opposed to looking up a walk through which isn't so bad I think. Oh and IDDQD on a Doom2 remaster.

I don't play multiplayer, so I don't feel bad saying I cheat every chance I get. I play games for the stories and eye candy. You can keep your epenis achievements/scores/etc and shove em where the sun don't shine, don't have time for that shite.

i only cheat on pc games though, which is why i buy so few console games (i.e. only the ones that have proven to be 'worth' the time commitment/effort in terms of quality....the last of us, uncharted, etc.)
Vader: Cheating in MP games is low.... why do that? So yeah,…
Vader: Hints can be helpful though.

Walkthroughs and guides occasionally when I get stuck (normally in Daedalic adventure games).
Last game I can definitely remember cheating in was Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast against one of the late game bosses. Some general in giant gold suit thing. Absolute cunt.
Vader: Jedi Outcast. Wow, another oldie :)

Depends on what kind of cheats do you mean. Invincibility chean in GTA? Why not, a bit of fun with that never harmed anybody (except hundreds of policemen and innocent civilians). Cheating in an actual competetive environment (say hotlapping in a racing game) or online? No.
So what answer would you have me make?

Being so good in a game you get called a hacker is a good feeling though. Or beating an actual hacker to the point he starts cussing you out and ragequits. APB Reloaded is a perfect game for that.

Sniper Elite 3 is also upon us and Divinity OS will make my life at least 9000% better.

I do have to reference online guides and walkthroughs sometimes, but no cheat codes.

I cheat because I enjoy playing games mostly for their story, and I don't have a lot of free time to sit and play games constantly. I generally use trainers as a result.

I don't want to completely ruin the experience though, so I usually go for ones that turn off timers (so I don't have to re-do things over and over), invulnerability (for the same reason), and maybe infinite ammo depending on the game.

I'll start pretty much any new game without anything, because if I can make a decent headway into the game without them I don't bother.

I don't care if people cheat in single-player games. If that's what you need to do to enjoy the experience, then do it.

But if you, for example, cheat in Dark Souls, you had better fucking play in offline mode.

I liked it when the cheat codes did something wacky to the game, like changing racepods to bees in Wipeout, big heads in football games or the goddamn kiosk racing in NFS2.

Which multiplayer shooter have you picked?

Neither, single-player FTW!
What are those? Never heard of them.
