MW 2 PC More Successful Than CoD 4

Word on the official Infinity Ward forum's is that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 is already more successful than Call of Duty 4. "Yes, PC is the smallest percentage in terms of how much sold on each platform but that hardly means anything other than the PC is just the smallest market," writes Community Manager Fourzerotwo.

He added: "The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in it's first week. Making it the most successful PC version. Essentially, all this percentage proves is that the console versions sold great, not that the PC version sold poorly, because that's actually not the case. The PC version has done tremendous in it's first week, better than our previous game."

In case you haven't summed it up by now, Modern Warfare 2 sold a bajillion copies. A squillion.

i just wish that they'd come out with a descent singelplayer game that lasts more than 5 lousy hours (when you suck at it)

I just wish they had put more of an effort into the game. Sure, the special ops is freakin' awesome, but it definitely isn't enough. Six hour campaign needs to be extended. But hell, Infinity Ward is hella lazy and they are making bank off this game. I guess they ain't have to do jack shit for us gamers.

Oh look, another story that says how well Modern Warfare 2 is selling.
I think there's more stories written about it, than the actual copies the game has sold.

I don't think so..from what I see...WM2 has a bunch of pc gamers pissed and passing on it including me. Xbox and ps3 for this one...the mW2 pc version is gimped, can be totally unfair in multiplayer and too short for the money

Nobody cares what console-hating PC-elitist gamers think when it comes to cross-platform titles; there is simply no pleasing these people, so who can blame developers for not even trying?

this only shows how casual gamers are nowadays... no dedicated servers is like a bitchslap to the community, and still it gets sold.

At the end of the day its a bloody good game regardless of platform, yeah dedicated servers would have been nice but even so its still easy to see why this game has sold bucket loads on the PC.

Dragonage- some 40+ hours
MW2 some 6 hours...

easy for me....hell...I got my money out of Risen so far as well. I have Arma 2 for a long ass fps game anyhow

If your buying MW2 for the SP your buying it for the wrong reasons, MP is where this games at.

I loved CoD and Cod 2. I like Cod 4....no need for more as the games get smaller, weaker online mode with no cheat protection...that makes it too easy to mod the game and have nothing you can do to verify a game is real and equal between players.

I never cared for COD4's multiplayer. I lost interest in it when I could shoot through cement walls, but not a small tin fence...

The matchmaking system is highly flawed for COD4:MW2. I was rank 15 going again rank 40+. Now that I am higher up, I see low levels still going up against higher.

Also the skip map function is utterly useless. I've only seen 1 successful map skip since I started playing. Usually people just back out and hope for the best.
