Next Assassin's Creed Set in Rome
We've already been told that the next AC will pack a multiplayer mode. Today Ubi CEO confirms the game will also be set in Rome.

"There has been a lot of excitement around the next installment of [the] Assassin's Creed franchise," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guilletmot told investors. "What we can say today is that it marks the return of the now legendary Ezio, but this time he will strike directly at the heart of the Templars order in Rome. In addition to this full new adventure, players will also be able to challenge their friends in a very innovative assassination multiplayer."

The next addition to Assassin's Creed will launch before Xmas 2010.

Oh and don't forget that the publisher also recently disclosed the launch date for the PC edition of Assassin's Creed II, as well as the system requirements.

I'm a bit dissapointed. Think it'd be cooler if it took place in London or Paris. It would be fraking awesome to climb the Eifel Tower, I know it wasn't there, way back in the history. But they could intergrate it by some kind of ''present day'' memory leakage of Desmonds mind. That would be freaking awesome !!!

I was hoping for a straightforward history arc with something like French revolution in AC3 and early 20th century in AC4 or something like that, blah...

I don't think there will be AC 4 since it 's suposed to be a trilogy. But then again nothing is a sure thing these days.
