NGP Backwards Compatability Information Released
Jackson "Smapdey" Johns

The NGP (I have no idea what this stands for, Neat-o Games Player?) is the successor to the PSP. Well, the PSP Go really. The PSP Go was a PSP that could only download games instead of using that ridiculous UMD format. The NGP is the same way, only it has two thumbsticks instead of the one, a touch screen, and more powerful hardware.
Today it was revealed (due to an NDA expiring) that the NGP will have access to all of the PSP games on the PSN, and in addition will support the use of the second analog stick, something I personally felt the PSP should have had to begin with. Using the fancy hardware, these PSP games will be upscaled and smoothed, so they look prettier on the newer system, but if you happen to not like this upscaling, you can toggle it on and off.
I have to admit, while I haven't been excited about the device in the past, digital only distribution means I don't have to talk to anyone, and some of the games look pretty sweet.
