No More Battlefield 4 Expansions Until the Game is Fixed
Filed under: BATTLEFIELD 4

Well there's a shocking idea! Once would think that was a given, but Electronic Arts and DICE released the first expansion for Battlefield 4 yesterday, despite the fact that the game has been receiving numerous complaints about various problems.

GamesBeat contacted EA about why they would release an expansion when there are so many problems, and they provided the following statement:

“First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our No. 1 priority. The team at DICE is working nonstop to update the game. Since the Battlefield 4: China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we’re not moving on to future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right.”

DICE will keep players up to date on patches with the Battlefield “Control Room” thread on its forums.

Maybe they should try releasing a game when it's actually finished instead of forcing the release.. hmmm Kinda like Bethesda, release an unfinished game and let the modders fix it over the course of the next 2 years..

I thank all the paid customers are still beta testing the game. I may consider buy this when it will available on humble bundle like I bought my stable and cheap copy of BF3 from.

EA should give these DLC FREE for all their paid customers (beta testers) until this game is fixed (or at least ok stable).

I've been playing this for the last few days and I'm really not seeing that it is as bad as some people are making out. I've had one CTD the whole time I've been playing. There are a few problems with the sound and ocasionally I have problems connecting to servers my friends are on. Aside from those issues I'm finding the game is pretty decent and far less rage inducing than BF3 was.

I have a friend who is playing this on the XBONE - he thinks it's the buggiest major release he's played in years.
