"The advantage of investing in our own technology is that we can custom-build major engine components specifically suited to each title; such as dynamically lit particle effects for gunfire and explosions, incredible vehicle detail and extensive worlds that you can literally get lost in" said Brant Nicholas, Senior Producer, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
"Everything that the EGO Engine does adds to the experience and tension of being in a serious conflict situation where one shot can kill. Using the engine's rendering tech and customised audio systems, we can make players feel the danger and adrenaline rush of modern combat, immersing them in the battle as deeply as possible. The realism of the game and its artistic content goes along way towards that, but having tech driving the detail and effects will give players a real sense of what it's like to have a 80mm mortar shell land 30ft away ' it lifts the playing experience to a whole new level."

Reply I don't like the weapon design.The weapons should be bigger so you have a overall feeling that you're actually holding something meant to kill a human being.If they mean one shot-one kill then the recoil should be huge and kickback big too and not able to fire 30 bullets at once without stopping.I always fell cool in games when I know that I carry something that CAN cause tremendous pain and suffering when used. |

Reply Please, please let this not be a watered-down, Bad Company-ish graphics showcase. I really hope they keep all of the realism from the first one. |

Copperr: I think you are looking for ARMA 2 in fact. I know i … | ||

Reply I hope it's better than Arma. That game sucked compared to the original. |

Reply Just like some people already observed, it looks like a improved verison of Arma. Wich means crappy texture, design, control and shitload of bugs. Don't expect more and you won't be dissapointed. |

Reply ArmA was made by BIS, Operation Flashpoint 2 is being developed in house at Codemasters with a modified Neon engine (DIRT, GRID, etc). Don't judge until you've got your facts straight. |

Reply The latest version of Arma with community mods added is an awesome game. Arma2 videos look a hell of a lot better than this...but the user interface on ofp2 looks better. Ill buy both anyway |
