Project Natal Now Called 'Kinect'

Microsoft's new motion-sensing device for the Xbox 360 has been known as 'Project Natal' until now, when the industry giant renamed its console technology to "Kinect."

I lolled and cried at the same time.

Kind of a waste really. A touching safety advertisement becoming Microsoft's Natal, excuse me, Kinect ad.

Lamest name ever.

They should've used Nintendo's strategy and name it after something smelly.

Like - "Kakaah". Would describe the product excellently as well.

Natal sounded SO much better. Kinect looks like a crossover between kinetic and connect. It's lame. Very Facebookish. Aimed solely at kids and un-puberated rascals. Anyone had a look at the initial titles? Kineticmals, yoga game, other lame sports game...NO CORE GAMES AT ALL. Bastards. Well, at least MS has successfully merged Wii and 360. There should be no reason for anyone to choose a Wii now. At all.

This is not official at all. This is an old (and great) ad about safe driving. Someone put the xbox in the last 5seconds of the movie to associate it with Natal? (yeah, screw that other name). It's a lame attempt because it changed nothing. It's still the same ad and should be presented as only that. This shouldn't even be an article here.
