Quantum - Gears of War Clone?

The E3 brought a surprise announcement from Tecmo. It's a PS3-exclusive shooter, currently in development at Team Tachyon. With the way things are in the industry, it's not unusual to see development teams inspired by the gameplay mechanics from Epic Games' Gears of War series. The cover system, weapons and combat in general provided the foundation for many other projects. However, certain developers may have gone a wee bit too far with "borrowing" elements from GoW.

Quantum looks way too similar to Gears of War and that's no lie:

I've finished GoW 2 and I enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed all the sexy, muscly men, as I'm sure you all have.

it's just another 3rd person shooter with a crappy storyline. that's bout the only they they 'ripoff' from gow, not like gow was original :/

no one else is annoyed w/ the retard conversation in the vid? so u're climbing up a tower to shoot stuff and u meet a chick in said tower? seriously? that's ur storyline?

My god, that was some of the worst writing and voiceacting I have ever heard, even for a 3rd person shooter. All that game needs to be a complete rip off is chainsaw bayonets, well that and not to look like a completely terrible game.
