Rage PC Buggish, Gets New ATI Drivers

The first wave of reviews
for id Software's Rage has hit the web and while the console versions appear
to be running smoothly, PC gamers are complaining about major graphical issues
in the freshly launched shooter.
The bugs appear to be no joke and are most apparent on systems with ATI graphics cards. Users continue to complain on Steam forums here and here, in addition to the official Bethesda forums. This evidently prompted ATI to release new drivers, to iron these problems. For those of you who are caught in the middle of this, you might want to stop by and download the AMD Catalyst - Rage Performance Driver.

Reply I'm playing on the 360 right now (no demo meant renting on 360 to try it out) and it is FUCKING AWESOME!!! How the hell did we just get Deus Ex AND this game in the same year let alone within a month of each other. I feel spoiled. I'm loving it! |

Reply I was going to use Rage to break in my new HD 6770, but that's out the window now. Maybe they can get this fixed in a few weeks. |

Reply I guess I'll wait a few months for this one until they release a couple of patches and drivers are sorted. Might even pass it up until after Skyrim. To be honest, I expect between my 6870 and my SSD it should run ok, but I've got no time for games for about a month. |

Reply Rage looks fine on my computer, but then again I don't know HOW good it could look... it definitely does not look like any screen shots though.. ahh well I have dark souls to tide me over until the graphical bugs get squashed. |

Reply Good thing I didn't pre-order. My money is for Batman Arkham City. Maybe a month or 2 and a few patches later, I will buy this thing. |
