Say 'Goodbye' to Medal of Honor

The disappointing last iteration in EA's shooter series, Medal of Honor, has caused the publisher to rethink its strategy. EA COO Peter Moore confirms that due to the lousy performance of the franchise with Medal of Honor: Warfighter, they won't continue the series. They're taking it "out of rotation," according to EA.

"The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers," commented Moore. "Critics were polarised and gave the game scores which were frankly lower than deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal of Honor out of rotation and have to bring year-over-year continuity to our shooter offerings."

Also, EA labels president Frank Gibeau said: "We're in a hit-driven business where it's about what you can build in a certain period of time and really deliver for the marketplace, and frankly we missed on Medal of Honor. And we take responsibility for that."

No wonder Medal of Honor has done poorly. Everyone's playing Black Ops.

What didn't resonate with me was the exaggerated COD-scenes and crappy FOV that made it feel that I played the game looking through a small window, terrible.

Make 'em WWII-themed again and you have a winner.

When they made MOH a mixture between COD and BF they destroyed the series. They should of stayed true to what MOH was before. I regretted my purchase of the new Medal of Honor and refused to even try Warfighter. Sad to see the series go, but glad to know they wont continue down the failed new approach.

I don't need to say 'goodbye' to something I never said 'hello' to in the first place. So to speak.

If you wanna compete, it's usually best to come up with shit of you own. More so, if you're a really bad imitator.

it could be a great game if they took all the flaws out.the in game voice is crappy and poorly set up.sometimes when game ends and scores are being shown theres major feedback from some morons headset.also the partner setup is o.k. unless you get an A.F.K.,then your stuck at the spawn spot where the idiot is and you have to run up to where the action is.they need to give another update, the last moh was fairly well done which is why i bought this one.its too bad cause i find the mp maps good but laggy.they should show other peoples pings so you can bail and try another server as it is the server pings that show on mine say 97,you get the odd 53 but in most cases they are worse than the 97s.i thought AA3 was bad but its far superior to this game and its free.
