Hey, folks. In case you haven't noticed. We have a new voting poll up. So,
yeah, it's about whether or not you still prefer single-player RPGs over MMORPGs
(and vice versa).
Oh and just to let you know, here are the results of the previous voting poll (I think it is what we've all expected more or less):
My favorite gaming platform right now is:
- PC - 3,207 votes
- Xbox 360 - 1796 votes
- PlayStation 3 - 1513 votes
- PlayStation Portable - 540 votes
- Wii - 437 votes
- iPhone/iPad - 382 votes
- PlayStation Vita - 110 votes
- DS - 107 votes
- 3DS - 78 votes
- Other mobile platform. - 77 votes
TOTAL VOTES 8,247

VOTING POLL

It would be like taking Call of Duty and making it in the vein of WoW. You'd have your Heavy guns (Tanks), your medics (healers), Assault troopers/grenadiers/snipers/etc (dps) but is it still Call of Duty? No. Much like WoW is not really Warcraft. It might have the title and the lore, but it does not make it the same type of game. It can be said with TESOnline.
1. Get rid of the healer/dps/tank. It's frustrating, It's getting old and it's getting lame.
2. Make it so that the community can join in adding content to the game.
3. Remove health bars. Add a system in which any body part reacts accordingly when it receives a sword slash, an arrow, a fire ball, etc.
4. Add a physics engine in which every weapon has its proper use. Block an incoming hit with a shield not with defense, protection or other so called "stats". Use a spear for charging horseman, use a mace to smash through heavy armor, etc.
5. Create a proper, believable world. Make dungeons, tombs and caves, dark, scary, dangerous. For once add some proper forests. (take note from Gothic 2).
I'd go one with many. The thing is, they will shift into this ideas I've mentioned, sooner or later.
This type of MMO's where all schmucks gather in an area and just run and jump around, needs to end.
