What's all the fuss about? It's not like countries are gonna perish, is it? So, yeah, industry analyst said that there's a "troubling" decline in sales of Activision's shooter Call of Duty: Ghosts - that's in comparison with previous installments in the series like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Now, Activision is predicting a sales drop for Ghosts when compared to Black Ops 2, but analysts are expecting and even bigger drop (thanks CVG).
"Upon further reflection, we think the [Call of Duty] numbers are a bit more troubling than they first appeared," says Cruetz.
"While the year-over-year gap is only 19 percent thus far, that includes two extra weeks of sales for the 360 and PS3 versions [versus Black Ops II]. Against 2011's [Modern Warfare 3], where the difference is only one week, the title is down 32 percent life-to-date," explains Creutz.
Analysts point out that Xbox One and PS4 editions, released afterwards, have failed to make up for the sales decline.
Okay, so let me get this straight; the game generates $1 billion on launch day and a few tosspots are worried about a year-on-year sales decline for the CoD franchise? Essentially this means that the company will still make fucking billions, only it's not going to be as ridiculous an amount as initially expected.
Damn. Oh damn and blast!
