After the leaked trailer and box art for God of War 4, Sony has made the highly anticipated action game official. God of War: Ascension is being developed exclusively for PlayStation 3.

Here's what Sony said on the official PlayStation Blog:

A nice bit of news. Finishing God of War 3 was an interesting experience, but only because I didn't play the previous two games, which, from what I hear were both better. Still, this should be good.
