Sony Makes God of War 4 Official

After the leaked trailer and box art for God of War 4, Sony has made the highly anticipated action game official. God of War: Ascension is being developed exclusively for PlayStation 3.

Here's what Sony said on the official PlayStation Blog:

I'm sure your mouth is watering for more, but unfortunately I have to leave you with that for now. Be sure to tune in to PlayStation.Blog and God of War: Ascension on Facebook on Monday, April 30th at 8am Pacific Time for a live streaming event that will give you a glimpse of what's in store for God of War: Ascension. I'll also be answering your questions about the game, so follow @PlayStation on Twitter and Tweet us your best questions by 3pm Pacific Time this Friday - be sure to include #godofwarascension in your Tweet so we can find it (we're expecting a lot of questions!) If we pick your question to ask during the show, we'll even send you a signed God of War: Ascension poster.

A nice bit of news. Finishing God of War 3 was an interesting experience, but only because I didn't play the previous two games, which, from what I hear were both better. Still, this should be good.

What gods are there left for Kratos to kill? They're all dead at this point.

The God of War storyline should be concluded with the third game, but obviously Sony just can't stop sucking on that teat.

Apparently after murdering a bunch of douchy greek gods and killing some big things called titans, kratos was pretty much finshed as a series. No seriously god of war 3 was suppose to be the end of a trilogy (I.e 3 parts) But nooooo some companys are just scum in the way they milk cash cows. So sad

I fail to see how anyone would be surprised by this. Franchises that make money will never die.

For Kratos, I'm sure there's foreign gods for him to kill, and I'm sure he's still generally angry.

You know, after thinking about this, there is one thing they could actually do: The final redemption of Kratos. Getting the ashes of his family removed from his skin, and the blades removed from his arms.
