Sony's Hirai told Reuters it plans for the PlayStation Vita to be profitable within three years. Yes, that's right, they aren't expecting the hardware to turn a profit for three years.

On the outset, this seems kind of insane, but it took longer than three years for the PS3 to turn a profit, and Sony lost way more money on that from the outset. Gotta spend money to make money I guess.

	Reply $249 is a better deal than the Nintendo 3DS or the iPad 2, performance wise it's twice what the iPad 2 has to deliver. who needs 3G? it's only $50 more expensive, you could probably buy 2 games for that.
