Susan Sarandon Joins Dishonored Cast
Yep, renowned Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon has joined the cast of Bethesda's upcoming stealth-themed shooter, Dishonored. Amongst the cast are other well-known movie names such as Brad Dourif ("The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest"), Emmy Award nominees Carrie Fisher (original "Star Wars" trilogy) and John Slattery ("Mad Men"), Michael Madsen ("Thelma & Louise," "Reservoir Dogs," "Kill Bill") and Lena Headey ("300," "Game of Thrones").

"Having such talented actors voice Dishonored's compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game," said Raphaël Colantonio, president of Arkane Studios. "We want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience." Dishonored gives players the chance to eliminate enemies using a flexible combat system that combines supernatural abilities and numerous weapons. Pursue targets under the cover of darkness or boldly attack with weapons drawn. The choices you make will control each mission and the game's ultimate conclusion.

Just a quick reminder that Dishonored hits stores on October 9, 2012 and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

That's a damn good cast of voice actors.

*EEEERK* Wrong!

The correct comment was: "That's a damn good cast of actors."

They chose to put actors over voice actors. Put simply, they should be known as being different and I have come to think that this is a bad idea for the game. It's sounds like more of a business thing.

It's one thing to get a couple of big-name actors from "Hollywood" to do voices, but it another thing for this large list of actors into the major roles of characters that will come into play often. This isn't Star Wars The Old Republic (which had an extremely large list of voice cast and there were only a few who were fairly-large name actors), this isn't even an RPG.

It seems a little bit of a shun to the fantastic voice actors who could have (and, when we see how this game plays out, may have) delivered a better performance. than any of these big names.

I hope in the end, it won't turn out to be a mistake.

I dunno, normal actors seem to be capable of the same quality of voice acting whether they're onscreen or not.

My thoughts summed regarding Susan Sarandon in Dishonored.
