TES Online seems to not be using nothing of the game mchanics or gameplay the TES games were based upon. It means they will use only the name to sell this, taking advantage of the success, Skyrim came to be.
As an Elder Scrolls fan, I'm very cautious. The cool thing about The Elder Scrolls is that it always felt like I was having a direct effect on the world. It always felt like a real, huge world that exists without me. All the little stories all over the world just immerse me so much. I went from making fun of roleplayers to doing it myself offline, even writing out a whole backstory for my characters in Skyrim and downloading realism mods. It's the most fun I've had in years.
I don't think they can keep the same level of immersion in an MMO, but it should be interesting. I just hope they won't do a Blizzard on us and end the universe with their MMO. I'm still waiting for Warcraft 4.
