Hobbits are gay and this movie will be too.

You're trying to resist, but it's no use. Just become gay like the rest of us.

It's not a sequel - they're splitting the book into two movies.
Vader [STAFF] May 31 2011, 07:32 am EDT
In other words - a sequel. It's a camouflaged movie sequel. Not a direct sequel, it's like a continuation of the story, but still a damn sequel.

Naw, they announced it would be split back when they first announced they were making it. Then again, I'm not really sure why - the books smaller than any one of the LotR ones.
Vader [STAFF] May 31 2011, 07:46 am EDT
Yeah, I know they have. That's a camouflaged sequel, I say!!

To make LotR three films obviously made sense, but why having this beautiful short story torn into two (lengthy) parts?
Vader [STAFF] May 31 2011, 12:59 pm EDT
Because they enjoy making money?

LotR had 3 films and still had to cut lots out. I'm glad they are making 2 movies hopefully they will be able to hold true to the story. Not happy about having to wait for the second part though.
I actually would have liked to see LotR done like Game of Thrones and have each book as a season of a TV series.
