Get ready for some old school, PC dungeon crawling love! The highly anticipated indie title (by us anyway) 'The Legend of Grimrock' has gone gold!
Been following this one for a while now and we don't have too much longer to wait until we can relive the glory days of games like Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master.
For more info, a lovely gameplay trailer and some screenshots, head over this way.

it is the ONE kind of old games i couldnt care less about :S
Perhaps one will be able to use keyboard shortcuts instead of the cursor to click those combat commands in the corner, but in the gameplay trailer itself it's clear the player is having to use his mouse for everything. Yuck.
Aside from that, I'm also concerned with the environments... or rather, the lack thereof. The same endlessly nondescript stone halls and torch-lit rooms will get pretty damn dull after a few hours. Perhaps there will be some variety, but the trailer shows no sign of it. Even looking at the screenshots on the website, it seems the whole game is either a.) stone corridors or b.) stone corridors with some moss on the walls. Doesn't exactly delight the imagination.
The combat looks to be in homage of all of those titles. Even some of the enemy poses look to be deliberately close to those games.
I'm really looking forward to this one.
