Ubisoft Compensates for DRM Downtime
Uros "Vader" Pavlovic
08:08 am EDT @ March 26th, 2010
According to a post over at the Ubisoft Forums, the France-based publisher
will be compensating Assassin's Creed 2 owners who experienced recent server
outages. There was a similar compensation offered to Silent Hunter V players
recently.
Ubi said: "we would like to reward your patience if you have experienced any problems by offerring you some additional content – previously only available with special editions."
Thanks, GI.

Here's an idea for some compensation: Remove the damn DRM.

Nice to see the gamers rise up in the best form of protest they can - user ratings!
Reminds me of when author Cooper Lawrence illegitimately ripped on Mass Effect for its sex scenes, and all her Amazon book ratings got promptly destroyed.
But personally, if they came with such an email promising free goods, I would tell them to shove it up their ass, I want the DRM gone.
Whoever their PR dept head is, someone needs to sack him.
To further anger the PC community Ubisoft have stated that all their games will require an Internet connection to play, however they said that a drop in their connection will no longer harm their save data. Regardless PC games still see this as a huge inconvenience to them, especially given that they had it in their hearts to obtain the games legally. It has become an ongoing fight, that Ubisoft will not back down upon.
