Valve Planning Three Major Surprises
Uros "Vader" Pavlovic

Oh man, here we go again. Join us as we hop on the Valve bandwagon of hope.
Hope? What I mean is hope for a new Half-Life game, what else would I be referring
to? Anyway, Valve's Gabe Newell -- who evidently loves to talk a lot lately
-- uncovered that the well-known development studio plans at least three "big
surprises" over the next 12 months (Thanks, CVG).
"I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn't going to stop any time soon. I'm just laughing because... people will be shocked again," Newell explained to PC Gamer UK. "We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least."
Well, whack me over the head with a crowbar and call me "Gordon Freeman!" Three big surprises, eh? Let the speculation begin.

Chances are, it's NOT going to be Half-Life 2 related.
As for a new HL game... well, that's just a fool's hope.
- Motion control support for Portal (it makes sense with the Move)
- Half Life 3 (Episode 3 skipped)
- new IP
None of these are shocking but their surprise of E3 was dozzy.
2. Left 4 Dead for Mac followed by a comic
3. Left 4 Dead 2 for Mac followed by second episode of comic promising the third and final chapter where we see characters 20 years from now (maybe announcement for Left 4 Dead Geriatrics)
4. Team Fortress 2 will no longer be "war-themed hat simulator" and it will be turned into "beach-party-with-crazy-hats simulator" (look up on Youtube, Valve "accidentaly" added a beach ball to TF2).
My lucky guesses based on some news and common sense, also even though I love Valve I don't have high hopes because I don't want "E3 surprise" hype to get me all over again. On the other hand, I'll probably end up preordering it, whatever it is :)
Left4Dead 3
a Modern warfare style game, possibly tank-style Battlefield game.
maybe in a color-box
2. Portal 2 will be a PS3 exclusive.
3.Obscure message somehow related to HL3, ends up being a hint at a new brand of zombine fluffy toys.
Honestly though, I hope Half Life 3 is one of the surprises.
-Portal 2 multiplayer
-No Half life 2 episode 3, nor Half life 3. No talk about it, in fact Valve will deny any existence of previous games.
And there will be a GPS voice-over with that AI from the first Portal which you can buy for 300$ or 500€.
You know - "turn left on next crossing, you bastard"
I'd hope for them to make some awesome FPSRPG, but I highly doubt they have the balls to go so far out of their comfort zone.
Probably in regards to their upcoming update with the community content, new game type, ect.
My guess at one of the "shocks" will be that Mr Newell will announce that HL3 will, in fact, be a MMO.
