Voting Poll: Indie vs. Triple-A

The gaming industry was always crammed with triple-A titles, but things have changed in the past few years. The indie gaming scene is now thriving, leaving us with a whole bunch of cool experiences to get into, from 2D platforms and challenging adventure games, to awesome retro-style shooters and damn-fine strategy games. People have their preferences, of course, and I'm still interested in seeing just how gamers think these days in terms of indie vs. big-budget. Hence our new voting poll:

Indie or triple-A:

  • Indie games only.
  • Triple-A.
  • Give me a break, I play both whenever I can. You tit!

Also, now you'll finally get a chance to call me a tit. Go nuts, fuckers.

And before you do, just remember this: life is too often about doing something that is expected of us. We rarely do what we want. So, start changing the patterns and don't do what is expected of you. Do something you really want. Call me a tit. Ask that pretty girl out. Don't be scared shitless. Or ask me out and call her a tit. That works too.

Oh and if doing something you really want includes sodomy then forget what I said.

I just play whatever's fun, doesn't matter if it's a game done by 1 guy in his basement (Banished) or a full fledged Civ5, if it's fun for me i'll play it !

You'd have to be stupid to vote indie only. Some AAA games are garbage, but some are just way too good to ignore.

You tit.

Oh and I'm free friday night. How about I take you someplace fancy?

Overwhelming percentage of naming you a tit, Vader. :)

But yeah, I've tried the cheapest and the most expensive. Some are crap on either side, and some are likewise brilliant. Sometimes an indie game can bring back the good old feeling of ZX Spectrum gameplay, at other times you just have to have lovely explosions in DirectX 10-11.

I can't say that I like the fact that many indie games are going the way of the Kickstarter (or Greenlight). Sometimes it looks to me like they're just milking the audience even before they invested any reasonable amount of effort in a game. But in a free-to-play world it seems like microtransactions have become the standard, even if it means a single low-cost payment. If I wanted to invest into stuff I'd be on the stock market, not trying to pay less for something that could pay off sometime in the future.

Sorry about the rant. I had some time on my hands. :P

I will always vote for tits when given an option.
