Warhammer 40k MMOG @ E3 2010
More news from THQ. The publisher promised to "fully unveil" the new Warhammer 40K MMOG at the E3 2010. Boss Brian Farrell told investors this IP could run for several years and that it represents the "highest ranking revenue opportunity" the publisher has (provided people stop playing World of Warcraft and switch to Warhammer 40k).

Apparently, Vigil Games (Darksiders) will develop under the creative lead of Joe Madureira, in addition to Darksiders 2, which should arrive before April 2011.

Madureira's said that combat in the Warhammer 40k MMOG will take place on a larger scale than Mythic's Warhammer Online and that there will be "tons" of customization and the "coolest looking characters of any MMO, ever."

Wait, how does this work? Don't the devs from the already existing Warhammer MMO have rights to the license? I dunno, maybe I'm missing something, but this seems highly redundant, not to mention retarded.
Alchi: Warhammer and Warhammer 40k are two different license…

Not only that, but the actual Warhammer IP is owned by Games Workshop - they, if I remember correctly, don't do exclusive licensing for anyone - just about everyone and their mother has made a Warhammer or 40k based title over the years.
Vader: Mothers are like that, aren't they. They just get so …
Killer Klown: Great. Now I'm going to have this image of a Sister …
Vodoo: if i fap to that mental image Klown just created, doe…
Killer Klown: Only if your seed is heretical.

Ahhh, thanks for clearing that up... Still seems kinda stupid to make another MMO based on the IP *COUGH* Old Republic *COUGH* hehehe I kid... I'm looking forward to TOR =p

NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I doubt that would be the case - like I said, GW spreads it's software distribution pretty far and wide - just because one is coming out with a MMO doesn't mean another group (Like Relic, for example) won't come out with another genre.
