I call bullshit on this or either it will be shoddy port (whatever Ubisoft farts about "PC first blabla"). Current games require usually 2gigs of RAM to run properly, asking 3 times more just to run the game is silly. Most of all, it doesn't look like anything more advanced than AssCreed with smartphone hacking (ie: not an autonomus living world like in Gothic 3).
Or there's always a possibility of devs pumping out fake sysreqs so consumers get scared and either buy new graphics cards or PS4/Xbone.

As someone who fits into the 'recommended' requirements: Wat.

That has to be bullshit... those requirements are too damn high, all of it has only come out in the last 12 months... let alone saying you need a sound card...

No doubt, this game will look good. Maybe better than gta 5 sans the crazy detail. But those required specs are overkill. It seems they are trying to convince us this is the next crysis.

People at Nvidia, ATI, etc. have to eat as well, am I right? Of course they will take advantage of Ubi Soft's Watch Dogs. They're hand in hand. One pocket fill the other.

Um...not sure what you guys are all up in arms about.

The minimum specs aren't anything special, and, as for the recommended specs:

- Ivy Bridge chips came out in October 2011
- AMD FX Vishera chips came out September 2012
- and an HD5850 or GTX 460? Come on...I can't even *remember* when those came out...

These aren't brand new parts. In fact, they're, all of them, a generation (or more!) behind. Yeah, they're higher end than most parts, but...that's the point - you want to run on Ultra settings? Guess what - you've gotta have the right gear to play at the big boy table.

I've got:

- a 2nd generation i7 (so, two generations behind and nearly three years old),
- an ATI HD6970 (two generations behind; two years old),
- 8GBs of system RAM.

I haven't upgraded anything (except my hard drive) in over two years, but I think I'll be able to run at "Recommended" settings.
CJ_Parker: E-fuckin-xactly. Someone hand this man a cigar.

In my current state, I'm better off buying a PS4. :(
