Well thats what happens when you make games using only the "randomize" button.
Looking forward to Tuesdays release, cant wait to see the new zones and get my goblin shammy on.
I lay somewhere between a hardcore player (in a guild, has a character on half the servers in existence, raids twice or more a week) and a casual player (maybe has a couple characters; only plays when Real Life allows or specifically when another friend or two are playing). I am NOT in any guilds; I have ten characters - 5 Ally and 5 Horde, on two different PvP servers, each a diffrent class, and eacj at varying levels of completion (I have two 80s, the rest scattered between lvls 20-70).
I renewed my account after friends who still play were raving about the big content patch that came out a couple weeks ago.
Friends, it is FUN. There are new quests in the "old" starting areas that are different and poke fun at themselves (Blizzard, that is). The destroyed/new "old" areas are wonderful to explore. The graphics are essentially the same, with a slight polish of "Oooohh!" and decidedly more foliage scattered throughout. The fancy new water? Reminiscent of the cool, never-before-seen reactive water rendered in Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
But I cannot impress upon you enough how exciting it all is. I can't explain it - I could sit here for hours whining about how little is actually changed in the core gameplay, but at the end of the day, I am genuinely having oodles of fun.
It may not be as complete an overhaul as I'd hoped (upon initially seeing the cinematic a month ago), but...I genuinely like it, and am excited to see the remainder of the new content after Tuesday (yep - I pre-purchased the digital copy after playing for a week with the new content).
If you're at all interested in playing WoW, I heartily recommend it; if you were never interested in playing WoW...then why the fuss?
Peace,
Fester :D
Because you sure sound like one...
