Xbox Event Possibly Coming in April
Keri "Pwny" Honea

The day after Sony's huge PlayStation event this week, Eventcore registered the URL XboxEvent.com, and NeoGAF pointed out that Eventcore is the same team of event planners who put on Microsoft's E3 event last year.
Rumor is buzzing that Microsoft will be hosting a Nextbox event in April as a bit of a follow-up to Sony's PlayStation 4 revelation.
Of course that's just a guess, and we'll have to wait for the official statement from Microsoft before we can start planning our streaming sessions. If you had to guess when Microsoft will reveal their Nextbox, would you go with April or possibly a function at GDC in March?

VOTING POLL

Never again. PS3 won this generation, in my book, and I only played it continuously for two months.
Fuck you, Xbox Live, and fuck your money-grabbin' purpose.
Sony would have to be completely moronic to make the same mistakes they did with the PS3, and once again grant Microsoft's next entry a huge window of time to establish user-base and market-share before Sony's own entry. And Microsoft would have to be completely moronic to fail to realize why it is the 360 defeated the PS3 last generation, even despite the RRoD fiasco.
And on that note, it's also going to be interesting to see how the price-point comparison turns out. Another lesson we'll see which side has learned, and which side hasn't.
If Xbox 720 is backwards compatible then fans will be more likely to buy it at launch and get rid of the 360.
