» All About The Outfit on ActionTrip

The gameplay will be quite easy to get into. In some areas you have to maneuver the squad until you capture a particular control point. When a main character dies, he will be able to respawn at the last control point your squad managed to capture (hm, sounds familiar... BF anyone?). You'll have to use any means necessary to defend that control point from enemy attacks. Another cool option is that you can switch main characters after you respawn, which should add a welcomed diversity to the gameplay and allow you to use unique tactics and different approaches during combat. (Like, oh, run and shoot everything in sight? - Ed) Essentially, all of this come down to completing your assignments which often include reconnaissance, rescue, search and destroy, and so on.

We understand that Relic prefers to highlight the game's so-called "Destruction on Demand" feature. This translates to "order a huge armored vehicle and destroy everything that gets in your way". Since players can demolish pretty much anything they like, the developers have fine-tuned the physics to make all the destruction seem believable. The Outfit is also proof that the Xbox 360 is capable of some mighty sweet visuals. THQ didn't hesitate to call in a few well-known Hollywood faces to voice some of the in-game characters. So far, Robert Patrick (who played the T-1000 in T2: Judgment Day) and Ron Perlman (from Hellboy, Alien: Resurrection, The Island of Dr. Moreau... and he also voiced characters in Halo 2, Lords of Everquest etc.) were signed on to voice certain characters.

The Outfit will also feature co-op and versus multiplayer modes. Live support goes without saying, along with the usual downloadable content for all Xbox 360 users.

So basically, we're looking at a run-and-gun action game with a variety of cool features thrown in. It's Halo in a World War II setting. Granted, the spirit of the game may be a bit over-the-top, particularly if you prefer experiencing a classic and more truthful depiction of the World War II. But games are ultimately all about fun, right?
