Another interesting facet for multiplayer devotees is the developer's intention to include an online multiplayer feature and support for Xbox Live, which should allow up to 8 players per session (for the Xbox 360 version, of course). A multiplayer save game option will also be on offer, giving you a chance to store avatars and unique item recipes.

Despite the game's promising setting and, at glance, solid gameplay concept, we cannot help but notice the somewhat poorly textured backdrop in certain areas (particularly indoor locations). On the plus side, we were most impressed with the in-game architecture (meticulously designed buildings and houses make for a believable atmosphere) and some of the artwork.

Granted, Two Worlds isn't exactly a triple-A title, but from what we can tell, the developers seem committed to creating as much innovative and fresh content as possible. The game doesn't appear to be groundbreaking, albeit it effectively mixes the usual RPG routines we've seen in many games before. We were promised approximately 40 hours of intense gameplay or even 100 hours if you sweep through everything that's included in the single-player campaign. The best part is that we won't have to wait too long to try it out, because the publisher vouched a May 2007 release date.
