According to our sources, the game is supposed to ship to stores on September 14. It may come a day or two sooner (or later), but we’re sure that there won’t be any slip-ups in those regards. As for the multiplayer mode, the gents at Activision made the MP matches time-limited, I guess because there wasn’t a lot of us journalists playing the preview build, and I only managed to log on a few times. Grenade "cook off" and sprinting do add some nuances to the foot combat, but nothing major. The multiplayer portion includes the standard fare of game types: Base Assault, Domination, CTF, DM, Team DM, as well as Retrieval, Behind Enemy Lines, Headquarters and Search and Destroy.
Of course, the biggest novelty in the multiplayer mode is the addition of drivable vehicles. As you can imagine this has been done before (Battlefield anyone?), but not in this fashion. My overall impression is that it will take time to balance the MP combat out, and even more time to judge properly its worth, and I simply wasn’t given enough time with this preview build to make that call. Still, the operating term here is "intense" and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Call of Duty + vehicles = a kick ass gaming experience.
Smapdey: There, 2Lions, now that’s much better!
OUCH!!! YOU SHOT ME IN THE FOOT, YOU ASSHOLE!! TK-ing bastard!
