One thing is for sure: if this new installment in the legendary Commandos series possess even a shred of its predecessors' ingenuity, it will have a very good chance of attracting both the fans of the franchise and shooter players unfamiliar with the Commandos RTS games. The only possible stumbling block that we foresee for Strike Force lies in the fact that some of the top guys from Pyro Studios sadly left the company to form a new development studio, so let's hope that the folks who remain at Pyro are up to the challenge.
Although Commandos has been known for its high learning curve and extremely challenging missions, the effort to accomplish successfully the mission objectives has proved to be worthwhile. We expect no less from Strike Force, which is supposed to hold the value and the essence of the original Commandos titles with the exciting shift to the FPS genre. In any case, Eidos and what remains of Pyro are quite confident. "The Commandos series has established itself as one of the most popular and enduring franchises within the World War II genre. With this evolution of the series coupled with Pyro Studios' proven expertise, we are confident that Commandos Strike Force will be the greatest episode in the series to date," says Mike McGarvey, CEO of Eidos. Well, hope it does, Mike. (*Checking guns.* [Forget checking your guns, watch your step -Ed])
