Our overall impressions of Conan were quite good considering the game is being worked for both PC's and next-generation consoles. There are a few issues though we'd definitely prefer not to see in the final version (such as occasionally freakish AI routines, camera issues, and sluggish controls). It appears that Conan should capture the attention of the average gamer once it hits stores. Fantasy fans may also be impressed with some elements that make for a nice tribute to the great works of writer Robert Erwin Howard. To top it off, it was a gratifying experience to hear the solid soundtrack which was enriched with tunes from the first Conan flick, composed by Basil Poledouris.
Conan is currently available for purchase in Europe, while the US version is expected to arrive some time later this year. We invite all readers eager to taste the gameplay to pop round this way and download the demo from AT Files.

| Though the demo clearly shows that Conan is nowhere near the quality of "Severance: Blade of Darkness" it is, however, quite similar gameplay-wise and I must admit I've missed a good combo-based ass-kicking with mêlée weapons :o) For a while it seemed like Enclave would be able to quench my thirst but only until I played the demo and discovered the virtually non-existence of combos. Oh, well I think I might give a try :o) |

| Severance was Severely (lame pun, I know :0)) underrated. It's a good game nevertheless. BTW, is it Conan or Connan? I always thought it was Conan but I never read the book, never watched the movie and never liked the Marvel Comic... Ok, I never liked Marvel in general :D. |

| I loved Blade of Darkness (Severance); the controls were a bit offkilter in some situations, but hey... any game that allows you to pick up a guy's head and peg his friend with it, then beat said friend with a severed arm is at least going to be fun at parties. | ||
