| » All About Dead Space on ActionTrip | |
AT: It was recently mentioned that Dead Space has potential to become a trilogy. Is there any truth to that? Is the game created with that concept in mind?
GS: No. That was taken out of context. What I was asked is would you like to make more Dead Space games and the answer is yes, I'd love to. We have created such a huge and rich universe and backstory just for this game that we could easily do more. I love the world we have created-the look and feel, the creatures, the politics, etc. But the truth is, my mind and focus are completely on making Dead Space a triple A title for EA.
AT: So, the Dead Space comic is out, right? In what way are the comics tied to the game's storyline?
GS: The first comic is out, yes. They tell the story before the game, the weeks leading up to Isaac's arrival on the Ishimura. You will still understand what happened by playing the game, but the comics give some in depth detail to other characters that lived through the horrible nightmare that began before the game started. The comic is made to be a great series in itself and it is. But put together with the game you just get a wider glimpse into the universe we have created.
That's all we have for now, kids. Dead Space hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms on Halloween (Oct. 31) 2008.
