» All About Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords on ActionTrip

As for the visuals, everything seemed pretty much the same as before. The programmers are using the same engine as in KOTOR, but with several new tweaks and modifications to ensure a smoother frame-rate than that of Bioware's masterpiece (let's be honest, the original did suffer from occasional frame-rate drops). Other improvements include higher resolutions, enhanced lighting effects, and a wider variety of weather effects. Certain Force powers have also received a makeover, improving the game's overall visual appeal.

That's all the details we have available at present. From the look of things, Knights of the Old Republic 2: Sith Lords is in good hands. The gang at Obsidian is doing a fine job of incorporating a reasonable amount of improvements, while preserving the fundamentals which made the first game so popular. We also know there won't be multiplayer support, but Xbox owners will be privileged to get their mitts on extra downloadable content via Xbox LIVE. (I'm sure any additional content will be available to PC users too. - Ed)

The game is expected to launch some time during February 2005, so keep your lightsabers handy.

As of right now, this game doesn't look like it will be nearly as great as the first KOTOR.

male Light side character or a Dark side female character, does that mean we can't start with a female light-side or male dark-side??

will it be more free-form than the first KOTOR?

ahh, the guys who made fallout, that's good - although fallout was the most depressing game EVER

"Force Clairvoyance is another cool ability. It actually gives your character quick flashes of the future, to help him gather clues from events that are about to take place."

WOWZERS

"The first one we saw in action was Force Sight, a nifty new ability used to spot characters through walls, rocks and other obstacles, simultaneously revealing their inclination (i.e. Light or Dark side)."

DOUBLE WOWZERS

Qaoz@80.63.221.205: I don't get it.. Force Sight? As far as I know, Force Sight...
