Games that hunger for more CPU strength can go and kiss BBB (Blue Byte's Butt), 'cause these guys have much more sophisticated approach to system resources' usage. Still, lets not start singing praises just yet; things aren't that good. The development director of BB recently announced that there were a few computer glitches, due to a certain virus. This caused, in all probability, a development halt. But he also announced that they had a few problems concerning program bugs, and bad elements from the previous games.

There's another disappointing information for those of you who expected to explore the Beta test version of the game; as far as BB is concerned there won't be one, even though they will release a few pre-Christmas editions and demos.

S4 fans can find a lot of cool amusing stuff on www.thesettlers4.com as well as tons of info on the new Blue Byte Game Channel. Some newly featured demos can be seen on the official site too, that is if you enjoy playing the so-called Smack-a-Thief competition - the first mini game from The Settlers series. The drawback is that you can only play in a Roman vs. Vikings duel, so you don't get to taste of the lately designed Dark Tribe and kick that pompous Morbus in his alien ass. Still, you shall have to satisfy your 'Settlers' appetite by scalping a few Vikings and confiscating their horny handy-dandy little helmets.

And to wrap it up, it will really suck if the S4 doesn't bring anything radically new to the game industry. I would, personally, like them to somehow develop at least one extremely innovative game feature, whilst retaining the spirit of the previous Settlers games, which attracted the attention of so many devoted fans; even though I cannot personally think of anything new for this kind of a game, that hasn't already been done by other strategy developers. Hey, making games isn't easy; nobody said that it is all peachy, and I know it's far easier to point out some ones limitations and shortcomings than to do the darn thing yourself. Anyway, my job is to point out and their job is to crystallize their ideas and turn them into reality. Yeah!
