Going along with Geralt's swordplay, are carefully animated fighting sequences. Combat moves and attacks are motion-captured and look very convincing when executed in real-time. At first glance, Bioware's Aurora Engine is acceptably playing its part, allowing for a smooth frame-rate and fluent character animation. CD Projekt highlighted that the game includes 200 or so animations and combat moves based on actual medieval fighting techniques. However, the development team still has enough time to throw some extra textures and a few more details in the backdrop (if they want it to compete against the likes of Oblivion and Gothic 3).
That's all we have for you now, children. We are impatient to see more of the game, but at this point, many details remain under wraps and we hope to learn more before the game hits shelves later this year. We'll keep you posted as to developments.
