That being said, it seems to me like a tap-dancing hermit crab would actually be extremely entertaining. And at least a helluva lot more entertaining than this game.
edit: There's supposedly a Gearbox dev on Reddit who's come out claiming that "85%" of the game was developed by TimeGate Studios, while Gearbox truly focused on Borderlands 2.
The notion is plausible. It is indeed difficult to understand how the same people that made Borderlands 1/2 could then turn around and make this trash, and it is indeed believable that TimeGate would make a game like this.
However, even if its true, Gearbox still deserves blame for outsourcing to TimeGate in the first place. I've known TimeGate was a crap developer ever since their mediocre FEAR expansion campaigns; what's Gearbox's excuse for ignorance?
As a franchise fan I'm extremely disappointed.
Hard to believe this came out worse.
