If you ever get tired of jamming and strumming with those plastic guitars, Activision may deliver another rhythm/music interactive delight in the future (apart from its Guitar Hero series, that is). Although there are no official announcements at this time, word is beginning to spread that the publisher filed for a trademark for the name "DJ Hero."

The title pretty much indicates the sort of game Activision has in store. Mind you, if such a project comes to life, and there's a good chance it will, it won't be the first time a DJ-flavored music game hits the market. In case you didn't know, Konami made a similar rhythm game called Beatmania back in 1997, which offered a turntable peripheral for gamers to test their "scratching" capabilities.

Let me guess, the whole package will cost us 300 bucks at least? (It ain't a true DJ game until you've popped a few pills and donned them rave shades. Wonder if that will come packaged with the game? - 2Lions)
