Crysis PS3 Possible - "Almost 50% New Game"
Filed under: PS3, CRYTEK, CRYSIS, CRYENGINE 2
The latest issue of UK magazine PSW is running a small piece on a possible Crysis PS3 hybrid-port that's going to mix elements from the popular PC shooter with elements from the game's sequel to make for an "almost 50% new game" - Crysis 1.5, if you will.

So far, this is in the major rumor category, since neither Crytek nor EA confirmed it officially. However, it's well known that Crytek recently talked about a Cross Platform CryEngine 2, uncovering that the game technology, used to power Crysis, will also be running on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

Another rumor, back in January, pointed to the possibility of Crysis making its way to the PS3, but not the Xbox 360.

Whatever they plan to do, if it turns out you can play the game on a console, it sort of makes the whole DX10 Vista-only crap even harder to bear.

Source.

"Almost 50% New" = 50% less than the PC version. They had to throw out half the stuff to make a console be able to handle it.

good thing its PS3 exclusive, less crappy games for the 360 ;)

crysis, for me,was just another game with good graphics, nothing else, game play wasn't so good, not so bad either...

meh,just another game

I liked it. More than Bioshock.

I liked them both. Each has its good moments and crappy moments. If I had to choose between the two, I guess I'd go for BioShock... the setting is a bit more original than alien technology freezing stuff in a jungle.

bioshock was over-rated and BORING! crysis was way better, maybe not in terms of setting - but what it lacked there it made up for with it's sandbox environment!

if i want sand-box, il start up Gmod or any other game released the past century with an editor.

now at times Bioshock was indeed boring due to the tedious postal office route, having to backtrack like crazy and sent on pointless tasks but this is just one of the very few things that make the game less appealing, however if you look at the big picture, Bioshock is a sight to behold from my point of view as a thriller/horror fan. it didn’t scare me as much as it made me feel the world around.
