World in Conflict Announced
Sierra Entertainment just announced World in Conflict, a PC strategy that features "completely destructible 3D battlefields" and "aggressive team-based multiplayer action", as well as an apocalyptic showdown between the Soviet Union and the United States.

"World in Conflict will take strategy games in a new, exciting direction, narrowing the gameplay focus on the best part -- the intense action of modern warfare -- and challenges gamers to work together to defeat the most powerful armies the world has ever seen," said Cindy Cook, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for VU Games. "Massive Entertainment's critically acclaimed Ground Control® series represented landmark advances in 3D technology. World in Conflict will continue that legacy and bring the strategy genre to the next generation."

Hm, sounds interesting enough I guess. The game is being developed by Massive Entertainment and is going to ship some time during Spring 2007.

Sierra is a publisher, they don't make games. And Sierra doesn't really exist anymore, Vivendi just still uses the name for some games.
craigww_22: Did it ever really "exist"? *Raises eyebrow* I submit it was...

Sorry for mistake, but i can still say that the name sierra brings a small hope in the mind of a gamer.

Ground Control 2 sucked monkey balls, its nothing compared to the original GC. It was really pretty, but was lacking in just about every other department.

I'll try the demo before considering this one.
