No Fallout 3 Demo
Bethesda PR guru Pete Hines reveals that the development studio won't be releasing a playable demo for Fallout 3, the upcoming post-apocalyptic single-player role-playing game.

"When you build it as one thing, there's no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we're just not going to do. And it doesn't really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want. So no demo, sorry," said Hines.

Okay, so there's no demo. You'll get over it. Besides even at its early stage, the game looked very good. And judging from the recent screenshots, things are shaping up nicely.

I want demos because it's something to do in the days and often weeks before a game actually ships. It's not like I have a life or anything.

Hmmm, a vault dweller and a canine... Dogmeat anybody?

Dogmeat was hard to keep alive sometimes, but fun to have around.

I use demos to test if my aging machine has the cojones to run the game properly because we all know the minimum and recommended specs are crap.

I get pissed when I have the minimum specs and the game won't run properly. To add injury to insult, I then have to deal with those punks at the store who won't accept open software returns because everyone who BUYS software is a fucking pirate????
