First Details on New AvP Game

Aliens vs Predator is a franchise we'd sure as hell like to see resurrected.
Well, Rebellion is working on the game as it happens (as we've
reporetd a while back) and the first details have already reached certain
European gaming mags.
According to these previews the new AvP game takes place 30 years after the events of the Aliens movie. Things kick off on a planet where Colonial Marines are attempting to deal with the xenomorph infestation. Of course, the Predators have picked this planet as a new spot for hunting. The good news is that three single-player campaigns are on offer -- one for each race -- which is the same as earlier games. The multiplayer will be incorporated, albeit no details are available at this time.
The brand new Aliens Vs Predator game is slated for a 2010 launch. Platforms and further details about the project are bound to reach us soon.

| I'm afraid the terrible AvP movies have scared me away from anything AvP. This is coming from a guy who loves the Alien and Predator movies, they totally wrecked the AvP movies. This game might give me hope in AvP again, but I'm not holding my breath. | ||

| What's there to say? Im a definite fan of the franchise, and I eagerly await the release of this title, but there's not much to get excited over at this stage. All I can really say is that I hope it'll live up to my expectations, which shouldnt be too hard... its a big-name franchise being handled by a respected developer so I fully expect it to get the treatment it deserves. |

| i loved AvP original. It was so fun. Scary, atmospheric, great multiplayer. Good proper game modes that rely on skill and NOT the fucking quicksave button. AvP 2 was very good too, but I found the aliens slower movement and more "normal" vision (less fisheye and pheromoney) to be offputting to the experience. |

| The first AVP was one of the greatest LAN games ever. AVP2 was ok too but not as good (maybe it looked better tho). This better not be based off the stupid fcking movies. And it better be PC only. Oh and while we're resurrecting awesome old PC games, I want a new X-Wing or Tie fighter game... DAMMIT! (wing commander would be good also since LucasFcks can't get off their console addiction lately) |
