"Medal of Honor" Could Move to Afghanistan
Filed under: MEDAL OF HONOR

The July issue of EGM seems to point out that the next installment in the immensely popular shooter series Medal of Honor could -- similarly to Activision's Call of Duty series -- be saying farewell to the World War II setting (and it's about Goddamn time too!).

EGM's rumor column says that the MoH series could be going to war-torn Afghanistan instead.

Well, the WWII setting has had its day, that's for bloody sure. And the change of scenery might do Medal of Honor some good. Although, I cannot honestly see how another modern-warfare style FPS game, could manage to stand up to CoD 4, which currently dominates the shooter market.

They'd better come up with something really good.

Source.

I think they should've 1upped Infinity Ward by creating a medal of honor game 300 years into the future in an epic intergalactic battle! That would have been more original and refreshing! Right now they just look like copy cats!

We really need a civil war game on US soil. I'm thinking about rednecks, liberals, religious fundamentalists... all of them using nonsense reasons as an excuse to kill kill kill. Hmm, Postal had some of that, but this time it should be on a much larger scale. I'd call it Medal of Honor: Pointless Assault.
