The game is in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will allow players to control a single space marine through an action-packed campaign. Relic confirmed that the in-game main character gains items (we imagine similarly to the recently released RTS, Dawn of War II). The developers are also focusing a great deal on the multiplayer (no surprises there).
We assume THQ and Relic will uncover more details next week during the E3.
On a quick note, THQ says that last year's leaked early pre-production footage for the Warhammer 40k shooter was released by a studio other than Relic and it does not represent the current game (thanks, Shack).
