Age of Conan Sells Over 1 Million
Funcom, developer of the MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian, claims the game sold over one million units in less than three weeks. Moreover, Age of Conan has for the past few weeks been conquering sales charts in the US, Germany, France and the UK.

"Sales data shows that Age of Conan is the biggest MMO launch since World of Warcraft," says Funcom Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Morten Larssen. "The numbers are very promising, and we are very proud to be one of the fastest selling PC games ever in a launch month and the biggest simultaneous Europe/US MMO launch in history."

The game launched throughout the US on May 20 (May 23 in Europe) and is doing pretty well. While AoC does suffer from numerous bugs, which the developers are working to fix, both gamers and critics have acknowledged Age of Conan as thoroughly enjoyable online experience.

I'm loving this game! Haven't been this addicted since WoW first hit shelves. Only at lvl 40 at the moment, but damn I'm having a blast. Sure it does have bugs and glitches, but what MMO at launch doesn't? Give it a month or two for it to be ironed out and polished and it will be a WoW killer without a doubt...fucking finally!

WoW killer? Not.

Very fun game though, that's for sure. I hope the success continues.

It is a fun game and for those that have good computer it can replace WoW, but the other 9 million players with shitty to mid range computers will not switch that's for sure.

Funcom has a countdown until WotLK releases, or they fix the whole bugged gama and make it superb, or everyone will go back to wow.
