Users Complain, Sony Pulls Latest PS3 Firmware

SCEA
released the PS3 firmware (v2.40) earlier today, giving users XMB access
in-game and, more importantly, including the Trophy system. As it turns out,
Sony made a quick decision to pull the v2.40 firmware update after reports of
major issues. Some users complained about their PS3s freezing after while downloading
or attempting to download the update. Some even said that the update rendered
their systems inoperable.
It's been announced that the company is "looking into it right now and will work with those customers directly to address any issues they may be experiencing," as revealed by SCEA PR director Patrick Seybold. Yep, they have pulled the update and haven't said when it's going to be re-launched.
Looks like those damn Trophy thingies are gonna have to wait.

| Yea, I'm biased against the PS3. But I seriously feel bad for PS3 owners that are having problems. It's one thing to laugh at them because of all the games that were supposed to make it "worth buying a PS3 for" that have failed. It's completely different to lol@PS3 because it's a $600 paper-weight now. haha...shhhhh...awwww... |
