Red Faction: Guerrilla PC Dated, System Requirements Revealed

THQ announced that the PC version the open-world shooter, Red Faction: Guerrilla, ships to stores in the US on September 15 and on September 11 in other territories. The official system requirements have been unveiled too:

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows XP / Vista
  • CPU: 2.0 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM / 15 GB of Hard Drive space
  • Video Card: 128 MB 3D Video Card w/Shader Model 3.0 Support (Nvidia GeForce 7600/ATI Radeon X1300)

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows Vista® for DirectX® 10
  • CPU: 3.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM / 15 GB of Hard Drive space
  • Video Card: 256 MB 3D Video Card w/Shader Model 3.0 Support (Nvidia GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD3850)

Got the needed stuff for recommended, maybe aside from the processor...
Went cheap on it since used all the budget on the rest of the components, its still a wolfdale clocked to 3.2 but not sure how good will it hold...
Ah well, time to buy me a decent processor.

Volition is at it again. Expect another piss poor port from some shitty 3rd party developer that they hired again. Just like Saints Row 2.

Saint's Row's PC port was fairly well done - had a few issues at launch but they addressed them alot faster than some other games (cough**GTAIV***cough) did at launch.

I haven't seen anything remotely interesting in RedFaction - yet another generic boring 'grunts in armour' sci fi shooter. No thanx...

Are you fucking kidding me? I have SR2 original bought in store (yeah I am an idiot like that) and it is simply the worst port I have ever played.Thousand time worse than MGS2, GTA4 and all the other ports ever made.

SUPERUGLYASS graphics, framerate like shit (on gtx280), urrgh, stutters all the time when driving.

GTA4 runs and looks flawlessly.
