Square Enix Says No FF XIII PC

We've just received an e-mail from Square Enix, clarifying a misunderstanding
regarding their upcoming project Final Fantasy XIII. Sorry to say this people,
but it appears they haven't made any plans to bring the game to the PC. Here's
what they said in the e-mail:
"Although the game is being developed using PC-based development tools, it is not coming to the PC."
According to Square Enix, the game will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

| funny how so many developers/publishers are scared of putting a game out on the pc at the same time as on the console. i think that as much as they want to cry that the pc is dead, they're scared of it knowing that people that have decent pc's and consoles will still pick the pc version of most things over the console. |

| No shit... how you could get that impression from the last article is beyond me... all it said was that it is being developed on the PC... LIKE EVERY SINGLE OTHER CONSOLE GAME EVER. what, you think they do the programming on the actual console hardware??? The reason they dont always do a PC port is because that means compensating for a million different possible hardware configurations, they need to introduce graphics scalability, additional control schemes, pay for software copy protection licensing... its a shitload more fucking work compared to making it for just 1 or 2 different hardware configurations. DUMBASSES, ALL OF YOU. |
