Grand Theft Auto PC Announced

Alrigthy, following a few rumors, Rockstar at long last announces what we've all been expecting. The successful PS3/X360 action adventure Grand Theft Auto IV is officially heading to the PC and will be released on November 18th and 21st in North America and Europe.

“We are very excited to be releasing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “The whole team is dedicated to bringing an amazing gaming experience to the PC. The game looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can’t wait for people to play it.”

The game offers "a rich, immersive narrative experience; an original soundtrack highlighting the cultural eclecticism of Liberty City; and newly expanded multiplayer just for the PC."

More info is available at www.rockstargames.com/IV.

Thank the lords. I might just sacrifice a sheep to Rokstar, just to show my gratefulness.
Hal0 [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:20 am EDT
I may sacrifece a plenty of sheep not just one...
mumbhai [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:21 am EDT
YES, FINALLY ... Cant wait :D
trickynick [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:21 am EDT
That's cool, even though my pc at the moment won't be good enough to run it. I played through it twice on 360. Great game, but i feel it was overrated. I like San Andreas much better. More wide open space. More shit to do. Don't get me wrong, the story line and action was bar none, however, something just felt lacking.
danishpussy [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:23 am EDT
This game will determine whether I need to upgrade or not. It remains to be seen how optimized they can make it. Their past ports have always run well on less-than-stellar PCs, but I don't know if this will be the same.
Vader [STAFF] [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:32 am EDT
Trust me, you're gonna need to upgrade. Do it now or wait, I don't care. Just do it damn you, do it!!
greenberet [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:35 am EDT
I am poor and I can't upgrade at the moment. Ah well...
Paul [mail] Aug 06 2008, 03:54 am EDT
Wow, that was unexpected...not.
Anyway, while its true that it lagged like shit on ps3 (20-30fps), I have no doubt that my future radeon 4850 will handle it just fine... (60+fps in 1650*1080).
Vodoo [mail] Aug 06 2008, 04:08 am EDT
ahh crap....since it arrives so soon il presume even the interface will be that of a console with X's and Y's and rectangles and testicles all over the screen.

why can’t they just wait at least 1 year and then release it AFTER they make sure it’s polished to perfection.

greedy sluts.
MrBored [mail] Aug 06 2008, 04:51 am EDT
Am I allowed to pirate the PC version if I bought the 360 version?
fieldcar [mail] Aug 06 2008, 05:30 am EDT
I hate simultaneous launches with a delayed pc port. so poo!
GrimshawUK [mail] Aug 06 2008, 06:30 am EDT
NVIDIA wants you to upgrade thats why ithe delay, purely to sell more hardware I wouldnt be suprise if developers deliberately gimp engine perfomance on exisiting hardware to encourage upgrading.
Fuckd__4_Life [mail] Aug 06 2008, 07:37 am EDT
Never really expected it this soon. I thought it would be released next year after MS had their exclusive DLC for it on the 360.
Ftmch [mail] Aug 06 2008, 09:15 am EDT
Excellent, I'm definiatly buying this one.
Dormanator [mail] Aug 06 2008, 11:39 am EDT
This is going to be the most pirated game ever lol.
LittleChief [mail] Aug 06 2008, 11:54 am EDT
Don't try and contact me after November 18th. I'll be drowned in my own semen.
laylow [mail] Aug 07 2008, 03:02 am EDT
do we have requirements?
Vader [STAFF] [mail] Aug 07 2008, 03:52 am EDT
NO!!!
thestewieman [mail] Aug 07 2008, 07:51 am EDT
and will include all the exclusive content never coming to the xbox360?
sucks to be u :D
Terminator [mail] Aug 14 2008, 08:49 am EDT
I hate to admit this, but I never got around to finishing GTA IV. The game is great, but the missions get boring after a while. The car controls are terrible, I can't tell you how many cars I wrecked.
