Early access to the L4D 2 demo is available for both retail (360, PC) and Steam (PC) customers. Those who pre-ordered via participating retailers should be able to pick up their early access codes this weekend and be ready to play on Tuesday when the demo launches.

| This is what happens when your mind gets fucked up beyond normal logic by pseudo wisdom of profit chasing. Those who pre-ordered don’t need to be ‘enticed’ to buy the game anymore. The demo is normally designed for those who are still not convinced whether to buy it or not. But this is a warped sense of marketing by Valve. Good game makers. Very poor strategists. Then again, they probably follow the ‘big daddy’ Xbox Live, and their genius/idiotic - demos first to the Gold members only – juvenile marketing. |

| The whole concept of demoing a game on Steam was lost. Demo's are meant as a means to convince people to either buy or not. While XBL's Gold Member Early Access is kinda bullshit...I'll live. The demo itself was totally worthwhile when L4D1 hit. Clocked in several hours playing split screen with the girl I was dating at the time (I felt like a god at the time when I got a girl to play a game with me). PLUS if they allow access to playing the game online again, it would be seriously awesome. Either way...I'll wait. |
