Dragon Age PC Patch
Dragon Age: Origins gets a few fixes and updates via Steam. The changes include:

  • Fixed potential corruption of character statistics
  • Fixed portrait appearance sliders when importing a character from the downloadable Character Creator
  • Fixed import for preset face settings from the downloadable Character Creator
  • Made Easy difficulty easier
  • Slightly increased attack, defense, and damage scores for all party members at Normal difficulty
  • Fixed video issues when running on a very wide screen display, including ATI Eyefinity displays

We also found out that the DA update is available on Impulse.

so far I have failed to unlock the DLC i'm due for pre-ordering on steam - I fucking hate EA and now I kinda hate Bioware too.

I have to login to DA with my EA account, but when i go to unlock my content, it redirects me to Biowares site where i can login with my old Bioware forum ID. Then you trawl menus to find the code redemption bit and it says "Make sure you're using the same account you use to login to the game", which i'm not.

Oh and the DA login servers don't allow special characters in your password, even though EA does.

FUCKING USELESS

Too late just beat it yesterday. It is a fairly difficult game, even on normal. Lots of dying, which is sort of annoying.

The characters are usual Bioware though, IDK how, but Bioware can make the most believable/likable characters in the business. Morrigan and Alister are my 2 favorite characters since Wrex in Mass Effect. There's some cliches here and there, but the story is very well told.

After the 3rd respec. I found it easy. Mass paralysis + aoe = dead things

What's annoying is the lack of information on the skill description that forced the players to use trial and errors approach when selecting skills. Which in turn means lot of reloads.
